Your role at Ausgrid:

We currently have a permanent full time opportunity for an experienced Fleet Engineering Officer to join our Logistics and Fleet team.

In the position you will

  • Manage the consultation, assessment, specification, and build of Ausgrid’s fleet assets right through to commissioning.
  • Manage the safety of Ausgrid’s fleet assets through Risk assessment, documentation and ongoing performance monitoring.
  • Conduct incident investigation and failure analysis, develop and implement control measures in consultation with relevant stakeholders
  • Liaise with manufacturer’s, industry groups, third party engineers to ensure Ausgrid’s fleet is fit for purpose 

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Advanced Diploma in mechanical or relevant engineering discipline (or equivalent) with significant experience and technical expertise gained in a relevant trade
• Sound knowledge of relevant statutes, regulations and procedures such as safe working practices, network standards and codes of practice
• Demonstrated experience in undertaking or managing multiple tasks and / or projects and prioritising activities
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with highly developed interpersonal and negotiation skills
• Demonstrated experience working within a team environment to effectively deliver projects or work outcomes within appropriate time frames and costs
• Demonstrated experience liaising with a variety of stakeholders, including the resolution of complex complaints / issues
• Experience in monitoring costs and financial impacts across work activities, projects or programs of work
• Advanced computer skills with experience in a variety of software packages, tools, hardware or general applications
• Demonstrated experience in the preparation of both written and system based project / work activity documentation
• Proven experience in problem solving and the identification or implementation of solutions
